Retransfer Printing for Smart Cards and Access Control

The HDP6600 uses a retransfer printing process rather than printing directly onto the card.

The card design is first printed onto a transparent film. This film is then transferred onto the card surface using heat and pressure.

This process offers several advantages:

The HDP6600 supports compatible PVC, PET, PETG, composite and polycarbonate cards.

• Up to 230 cards per hour using YMCK ribbon and retransfer film

• Up to 126 cards per hour using YMCKK ribbon and retransfer film

iON Technology for Faster Startup

The Fargo HDP6600 features HID’s iON technology, which allows the printer to reach its operating temperature in under 60 seconds.
