HID Fargo 045631 YMCKO-K Ribbon

The HID Fargo 45631 is a genuine high-capacity YMCKOK ribbon designed specifically for the Fargo DTC1500 card printer.

It is intended for dual-sided card designs where the front requires full-colour photographs, logos and branding, while the reverse only needs black information such as text, card numbers or barcodes.

Each ribbon produces up to 600 dual-sided cards, helping reduce ribbon changes during larger print runs.

How Does YMCKO-K Work?

The Fargo 45631 contains six individual panels:

• Y – Yellow
• M – Magenta
• C – Cyan
• K – Black resin
• O – Clear overlay
• K – Second black resin panel

The yellow, magenta and cyan panels combine to create full-colour photographs, logos, backgrounds and graphics.

The first black resin panel is used for sharp black information on the front of the card, such as names, job titles, numbers and barcodes.

The clear overlay is then applied over the colour side of the card to provide an additional layer of protection.

Finally, the second black resin panel is used to print black information on the reverse of the card.
