Product Overview : HID Fargo YMCKOK Colour Ribbon
The HID Fargo 045031 is a genuine YMCKOK ribbon designed for producing professional dual-sided ID cards with full colour on the front and crisp black information on the reverse.
It is particularly useful for employee ID cards, access cards, membership cards and student credentials where the front of the card contains a photograph or branded design, while the back requires text, terms, identification numbers or barcodes.
The ribbon provides up to 250 printed cards and includes a cleaning roller.
What Does YMCKOK Mean?
The ribbon contains six separate panels:
- Y – Yellow
- M – Magenta
- C – Cyan
- K – Black resin
- O – Clear overlay
- K – Second black resin panel
The yellow, magenta and cyan panels combine to produce full-colour photographs, logos and graphics.
The first black resin panel is used for sharp black details on the colour side of the card, while the overlay is then applied to protect that printed surface.
The second black resin panel is specifically intended for printing on the reverse of the card.
